About

Anchorage is a small resort in Montego Bay with a perfect 5.0 across every subrating — rooms, sleep quality, value, service, location, cleanliness — which is rare enough to mean something, even with just two reviews. This isn't a mega-property. The consistency suggests tight owner-operated attention, the kind of place where someone actually cares whether your towels get changed and whether the AC works. The value score hitting 5.0 is worth noting. Most Montego Bay resorts either chase luxury pricing or cut corners; getting both quality and fair cost usually means you're dealing with someone who isn't trying to squeeze every dollar out of the room. Location score says it's well-placed, likely near the coast or close enough to the Hip Strip without being on top of it. Sample size is tiny, so take the perfect marks as directional rather than bulletproof. But if you want a low-drama stay in Montego Bay and you're willing to book something under the radar, this checks out.

Sargassum: rarely

Montego Bay's north coast is leeward and rarely sees heavy sargassum; occasional light patches May–October are quickly cleared by resorts.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar

JOIA Rose Hall sits on the north coast between Montego Bay and Falmouth, right on the beachfront strip where the location rating of 4.8 actually means something. It's an all-inclusive that draws over ten thousand reviews and still holds a 4.6, which suggests the operation runs tight. The sleep quality subrating of 4.8 stands out — it's the kind of number that means you're not hearing hallway noise at 2 a.m. or fighting a bad mattress. Rooms and cleanliness both clear 4.7, and the service rating matches, so the staff piece is holding up at scale. The value score of 4.5 is honest for an all-inclusive in this tier. You're paying for the location and the consistency, not for boutique surprises. If you want Rose Hall access, a reliable room, and a predictable resort flow, this delivers without the gamble.

All inclusive

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort and Spa

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton sits just west of Montego Bay near Lucea, part of a large all-inclusive complex that shares grounds with its sister properties. With over 16,000 reviews and a 4.1 rating, it's a volume resort that delivers consistent middle-of-the-road scores across the board — rooms, sleep quality, service, and value all land right around 4.0. Location and cleanliness edge slightly higher at 4.2, which makes sense given the beachfront setting and the scale of housekeeping operations needed to run a place this size. The trade-off is predictable: you get access to multiple pools, restaurants, and beach stretches without leaving the gates, but you're also sharing them with hundreds of other guests. Service is fine, not exceptional. Rooms are functional. If you want an all-inclusive where you can stay put for a week and the kids have activities, it works. If you want boutique attention or a quiet vibe, look elsewhere.

Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa

Grand Palladium sits on a long stretch of beach near Lucea, between Montego Bay and Negril. It's a big all-inclusive — nearly 20,000 reviews put it in heavy rotation — and the cleanliness score of 4.1 is the standout among the subratings. Rooms and service both land at 3.8 to 3.9, which is middle-of-the-pack for this tier, so set expectations accordingly. The location rating of 4.0 reflects what you're trading: you're not in the thick of Hip Strip or Seven Mile Beach, which means fewer crowds and lower rates, but also more reliance on the property itself for entertainment and dining. If you're the type who stays put at a resort anyway, that's fine. If you like to wander into town for jerk or a different scene, factor in the drive. Value comes in at 3.8, which tracks for an all-inclusive of this size. You're paying for convenience and included meals, not boutique touches.
